Currant, dried cherries, black pepper pepper. This ruby colored bright and cheerful wine, a blend of Gamay and Blaufrankisch with a dash of Saperavi has surprising body and balanced acidity. After years of dedicated growing, Amoritas Vineyards is finally ready to establish itself as an exceptional Michigan Winery. We started with a road and the abandoned homestead of the Amore Family. Instantly we fell in love with a piece of land that feels elemental and wild, overlooking South Lake Leelanau. While only ten minutes drive from towns like Cedar, Lake Leelanau and Sutton’s Bay; the farm acreage is expansive, fertile, and remote. We desired only two things, to cultivate exceptional grapes, and to produce dazzling wines. These rolling hills and sandy loam soils on the French Road Plains of Centerville Township are a perfect place to grow the vibrant whites that have become a hallmark of Michigan’s wine-growing regions.
