***SOLD OUT FOR 2025****Join us on Saturday, February 15th at 5:30pm for our annual Wassail! We will gather at the Cidery and then, following Olde English custom, we will make our way to an orchard in Monterey to wake the tree spirits and encourage a fruitful harvest in the fall. We'll have the Ben Trout band out of Roanoke provide live music for our merriment. Tickets are required for the event; two glasses of cider (and a toast with Wassail) are included in the ticket price. Participants are encouraged to dress up and if you'd like, bring a noisemaker (traditional is a pot or pan and a spoon to make the noise to scare the evil spirits). A portion of this event is outside so dress accordingly. Order online and we'll supply you with a ticket number, no tickets will be mailed.
Big Fish Cider, Co. is a microcidery in Monterey, Virginia making ciders using locally grown apples, from our orchards above 2800 feet in elevation. Our apples are naturally grown without pesticides or fungicides. Our cider is available in a range of off-dry to semi-sweet blends, single varietals, and seasonal offerings.
