Founded by John Washburn and Brian Shanks in June of 2012, Bold Rock Hard Cider is now America's largest regional craft cider brand, producing accessible cider varieties with bold and inviting flavor from locally sourced apples in Nellysford, VA and Mills River, NC.

In addition to the two production facilities and taprooms, Bold Rock offers a Downtown Asheville, NC taproom & restaurant as well as a small outpost at Carter Mountain Orchard near Charlottesville, VA. Bold Rock is also now featured at Brewers at 4001 Yancey, a collaboration taproom in Charlotte, NC.
