Made from Esopus Spitzenburg, which is said to be Thomas Jefferson's favorite apple, Big Star's label shows the big star we found on the door to one of the horse stalls when we were renovating the carriage house. We bottled this as a still cider and it features a very pretty nose, good complexity and great balance. Big Star can stand in place of your favorite white wine with light pastas, seafoods and grilled chicken dishes this spring.
Carriage House produces European style ciders crafted by hand in Southwest Michigan. We offer a different cider experience for the adventurous palate. We take advantage of the more than 200 varieties of apples raised in the perfect climate and soil conditions of Southwest Michigan to create interesting, complex, old-world style ciders. Each has its own character for cider lovers and explorers.
