Chertok Wines is a family farm-winery growing apples and grapes in the tiny town of Shoreham, Vermont, one of New England’s premier apple terroirs. Chertok is a family name meaning ‘little cherti’ referring to the folkloric Russian spirits that were believed to animate the world that later became reframed as demons. The Rose-Chertok family focuses on producing natural country wines with an emphasis on long macerations, Qvevri aging and fermenting both crops together. The devilishly styled Chertok wines are fresh, playful and bottled avec schmutz!
