A traditional method cider made from a blend of three New York apples. Dry, unfiltered, unfined, with frizzante bubbles created by a secondary fermentation in the bottle.
First Edition always contains a base of half Northern Spy and a quarter Gold Rush, with the last quarter composed of the best available fruit according to that year's growing season. The 2021 was completed with one quarter Newtown Pippin, making this the first vintage made entirely from apples made or discovered in America. Made from late pressing apples, it's fermented in two batches -- one native ferment and one with a white wine yeast -- which are fermented to dry then blended and aged until bottling the following fall with a champagne yeast dosage. Those bottles are then aged a minimum 6 months before release. Low sulfites.
Clean drinking, balanced acidity, mildly funky, this cider highlights the beauty of the fruit, and is an excellent introduction to natural, wine-like cider

Greenpoint Cidery is a handcrafted, natural hard cider coming to you from Hudson, NY via Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Fermented from all New York apples, it is 100% dry, aged on the lees, unfiltered, and in a farmhouse style. Each cider is hand made traditionally in small batches with minimal intervention. Any added ingredients in limited release ciders are made with elements foraged from the surrounding land. Because it’s made by hand, each batch, and each bottle, is unique.
Greenpoint Cidery is owned and run by Nika Carlson. Carlson fell in love with cider as a Brooklyn bar owner, and inspired by the Spanish, French, and traditional American cider she adored, transitioned to orchardist and cider maker (and designer (and distributor (and keg cleaner))). She is based in Brooklyn, and grows apples and makes cider in Hudson, NY.
