Our traditional American hard cider is made from a custom blend of hand pressed apples patiently cold-fermented to preserve the delicate apple aromatics found naturally in the fruit. Secondly, we allow our cider to mature "sur lie" for at least 6 months before a final bottle fermentation to produce champagne-like effervescence.
Emerald Orchard was planted in the early 1980's with the intention to make cider. All of our hard cider is produced from this small family owned and operated orchard in the beautiful Lehigh River Valley of Pennsylvania.
Notes
Our cider can be aged in a cool cellar for several years or enjoyed today! Due to the process of bottle fermentation, some sediment will deposit in the punt of the bottle. Serve well chilled.
