Part Deux is the Pippin Pommeau you know and love, but barrel-aged in oak for another year. Which means, compared to 2022, it features a slightly darker amber color, a more pronounced expression of the apple shining through, more mellow alcohol on the nose, silkier mouthfeel, and a smoother, richer, more mature roundness of flavor. It comes in at 17.4% and is perfect for sipping over the holidays and beyond!
Pommeau is a 1-yr old apple brandy blended with apple juice, and then barrel-aged for another 2 years. The result is a glorious, boozy apple elixir we've dubbed “the spirit of the apple." The style hails from the Normandy region of France, but ours is as California as it gets – made with 100% California Newtown Pippin apples, and distilled by The Spirit Guild in DTLA.
