This apple is one of our treasured heirloom apple varieties. A thick skinned deep red apple with a distinct herbal flavor. This Variety has resided in this valley since the earliest settlers began planting their orchards. A favorite in pie making and cider-ing, this apple delivers a one of a kind flavor that thousands of patrons flock to purchase every year. This past year the Arkansas Black Apples were even stronger in flavor. To make this cider accessible without an extended aging process we have blended it with our Rootstock Cider that helps balance the herbal notes.
We are a Hard Cider producer in the small apple growing region known as Oak Glen. We are located in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. We grow fruit on our 300 acre apple farm at Los Rios Rancho. From blossom to bottle we strive for a perfect Cider and a unique experience. All of our ciders are produced with wild fermentation on the ranch.
