Our Bittersweet Cider is crafted from a blend of more than 20 traditional English and French cider apple varieties grown in our orchard on Vashon Island, WA. Bittersweet cider apples are a class of apple varieties that create a richness of flavor and character that can’t be achieved with ordinary culinary apples. The “bitter” refers to the tannins in the apples that produce exceptional body, and mouthfeel. The “sweet” refers to the lack of acidity in the apples, creating a richness and depth to the flavor.
