Nicknamed "Mac" this Canadian-born apple has made history several times since its inception in 1811. Less common in grocery stores than it used to be, replaced by varieties that keep longer in storage, the McIntosh is still incredibly popular in those parts of the world where it's available for a single perfectly aromatic & crunchy week. For our single varietal, these vividly red apples with a hint of green striping were grown in Corralitos, CA, at Five Mile Orchard and pressed and bottled at our facility in Mokelumne Hill, CA.
Posterity Ciderworks is a husband-wife owned cidery based in Mokelumne Hill, CA. Their natural ciders appear on James Beard and Michelin Star award-winning beverage lists throughout California. Using locally foraged ingredients and California apples, pears, and quinces, all of their ciders are fermented dry, naturally gluten free, and contain no added dyes, artificial flavors, or added sulfites.
