The Maiden Blush is one of America’s oldest apple varietals, dating back to 1817 when it was found throughout Philadelphia’s
Farmers Markets.
A subtle beauty, the Maiden’s Blush is a large pale, thin skinned, lemon-yellow color with a
subtle crimson blush. Its distinctive ribbed shape makes it particularly decorative.
The cider that springs forth from its snow white flesh is light and floral with a subtle acid.
EsoTerra doesn’t just produce cider. We are in the business of preserving some of our culture’s most unique apples, and here is an example of one. We picked this fruit from a 150 year old tree with only enough fruit to produce
5 gallons of juice.
