This semi-sweet cider is a blend of mountain grown apples from Ashe and Avery Counties, NC. A light addition of whole-flower Centennial hops enhances the natural green and candy apple aromas of the apples. The finished cider reminds us of the old-fashioned penny stick candies from our childhood, with a great balance of sweetness, acidity and fruity aromas.
Molley Chomper makes hard cider in Ashe County, NC from heirloom apples grown in the high country of North Carolina and Virginia.
We work with small orchards that grow heritage cider and dessert apple varieties. The apples are harvested at peak ripeness and pressed at the cidery each Summer and Fall.
